How to get "easy" 3000g.

Well, i guess you heared about CATA Gold runs. Usually you do 25hc PSA - BOT - Td4w - FL - DS.

Well those give you 3000-4000g. You can find a grp on the LF section in wow. (This is not what the topic is about).

Each boss gives you around 125. And a Boss usually dropps 3000g.

Well in throne of the 4 winds, there are only two bosses and the last boss dropps a chest. What you do, is open the chest at first and you dont loot the gold. Nobody else can loot the gold.

You wait until everybody left the instance and goes to FL. (this happens in 1-2min)

If you're alone in the instance, you will get the entire 3000g. This should also work with some chest in DS.

You basically get 3000-4000g through the run and the option of free 3000g multiple times, depending on group.

Old School Farming: Gold, Greens, Pets and Mounts

Part One: Introduction

What do I farm to get lots of greens?

If you're anything like me, I tend to get bored just farming the same thing day in and day out, and also have a lot of mounts to still work on. So i developed a route that would allow me to hit a variety of different dungeons and raids, work on my mount and pet collection and still get a great amount of greens, money and cloth.

As you may have guessed, this guide is more an example of how to more efficiently farm old school content by providing a list of possible places to farm, the fastest order to complete them in, and hopefully in the future, an average time, gold per run and greens/cloth/valuable items collected. Right now, I am going to show you the instances and raids that I personally farm each week, but I will try to expand this to include all raids with rare pets and mounts. This guide will only include places that you can solo though, so anything else you won't see here.

Disclaimer: This is not the most efficient way of making money. This is a way to get a bit more variety in Auction House greens and make it a bit more fun and self-rewarding.

Also, since I currently only have a horde at level 90, I apologize to my alliance friends. You can use this as a cheat sheet on things to run, but I'm afraid the route will be vastly different for you.

Part Two: Dungeons and Raids

If you already have a route, or are only interested in a few places, this is cheat sheet for dungeons and raids I'll be routing out, as well as a list of additional places to farm (depending on your needs).

Mounts
  • Vortex Pinnacle
  • Zul'Gurub
  • Tempest Keep,
Pets
  • Molten Core
  • Blackwing Lair
  • Karazan
  • Serpentshrine Cavern
  • Tempest Keep
  • Ruins/Temple of Ahn'Qiraj(mounts, great transmog gear, pets)

Optional Places
  • Ulduar(mounts)
  • Zul'Aman (mount/pet)
  • Naxxramas(pets)
  • Grim Batol (excellent place to farm cata greens check out Sophistical's guide)
  • Fireland's (mounts, not sure if solo'able)
  • ICC(mounts, again not sure if solo'able)
  • Stratholme(mount)
  • Stonecore(mount)
  • The Obsidian Sanctum 25 (mount)
  • Utgarde Keep

Part Three: The Route

Now we're going to get to the actual route part. For the initial version of this guide, I will be showing you how to efficiently farm: Vortex Pinnacle, Ruins/Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, Onyxia, Zul'Gurub, Karazan, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep in that order. The total travel time for these instances is approximately 29 min 45 seconds with 310% flight speed. I cannot tell you how long it takes to run each instance as that depends on the class, role and item level, but in the future I may try to give you the times as a feral druid tank.

Step 1: Vortex Pinnacle (~2 minutes)
The starting point for this guide will be Orgrimmar. From here, take the portal to Uldum and fly southeast to Vortex Pinnacle. For this mount you may farm it to your heart's content on either normal difficulty, or run it once on heroic. This is a great place to get Volatile Air from (which sell like hot cakes) but does not have the highest gold per hour.

Step 2: Ahn'Qiraj (~3 minutes)
From Vortex Pinnacle, you will be flying Northwest to the Temple/Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj. If you are just looking for pets (and some particularly rare enchanting recipes) just run Temple. Ruins is a great place to farm trash for some very high priced transmog gear. If you're interested in this, check out Toxxer's guide.

Step 3: Onyxia (~4 minutes)
After running AQ, fly Northeast to Onyxia. This is a pretty quick instance and has a chance to drop the annoyingly low drop rate Ony mount. Make sure you have some ranged abilities as she does have a flight phase.

Step 4: Zul'Gurub (~4 minutes)
In order to go from Onyxia to Zul'Gurub, we will be taking the boat in Ratchet. Fly North to Ratchet from Onyxia (~2 minutes) and take the boat to Stranglethorn. There may be some additional wait time depending on when the boat arrives. The 4 minute travel time was with a boat that arrived as I was flying up, so I had minimal wait time. Once you arrive in Booty Bay, fly North to Zul'Gurub. Zul'Gurub offers two different mounts, so make sure to kill High Priestess Kilnara and Bloodlord Mandokir

Step 5: Karazan (~1 minute)
From Zul'Gurub, fly North and a hair East to Karazan. I highly recommend running Karazan once a week because it is a fantastic place for greens, pets and a chance at a mount. It also has some great enchanting recipes and is extremely easy to complete at level 90. For the mount, make sure to killAttumen/Midnight, for pets, kill Terestian Illhoof, Opera (Little Red Riding Hood), The Curator and Prince Malchezzar. As you can see, Kara is a great place for your pet collection and will also put a decent chunk of gold in your pocket.

Step 6: Blackwing Lair and Molten Core (~2 minutes)
Molten Core and Blackwing Lair offer a combined 6 pets and are fairly straightforward runs. In Molten Core, there are some epic boe's that have a decent sell price on the auction house, so you can either skip the trash (its easy to run around without aggro'ing) or you can pull and kill everything.

Step 7: Serpentshrine Cavern (~8 minutes)
After you have completed Molten Core and Blackwing Lair, hearth back to Orgrimmar and take the portal to the Blasted Lands. (Alternately, if your hearthstone is set to Summer's Rest, you can take the portal to Shattrath). From here, you will be flying West(or North if you're in Shattrath) to Serpentshrine Cavern. SSC is a huge raid instance so if you are only in it for pets to sell, you can kill Lady Vashj first (she has a chance to drop a very rare pet--it sells for ~4k on my server). Other bosses to kill for pets are:Hydross the Unstable and Morogrim Tidewalker.

Step 8: Tempest Keep (~5 minutes)
Tempest Keep is going to be the last instance for this guide and it is definitely a great place to end, with every boss having the chance to drop a pet or mount all fights are pretty easy with the exception of Kael'thas. For this fight, I would suggest looking up some youtube videos for your class before trying the fight.

However, the main thing you need to make sure you do is equip the Staff of Disintegration and make sure to right click it for the buff once equipped. Also make sure you don't have any pets summoned or he will mind control you and the fight will reset.

Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj transmog farm

Introduction:
In this guide we will be looking at farming trash inside Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj for transmog gear that sells for ridiculous amounts of gold on the action house.

We will be running through the raid instance without killing any bosses, so we’re able to run out and reset without getting saved.

Installing these addons is not required but it will make it a lot easier knowing if the item is worth keeping and posting the items you’ve farmed on the AH later on, will explain how to use them later.

Create an account on WoWuction and select your realm, then go to Resources > Data Export and download "Get TSM_WoWuction module data export for YOUR SERVER" put the .lua file into /Interface/Addons/TradeSkillMaster_WoWuction

The raid instance is located in the south of Silithus (Check screenshot). If you have the portal to Uldum from Org/SW that would most likely be the fastest way.

Blue = Optional
Red = Normal run

When you get to the 2nd boss, make sure to not kill any trash inside the room! That's gonna get you saved and you wont be able to reset the instance.

*Important*

When you are doing the run you will run into these small neutral mobs called Silicate feeder, KILL these small bastards! These also drops highly valuable transmog pieces.

To make your runs smoother:

• Stay on your mount as much as possible to make it easier to pull bigger packs of mobs.
• When killing a bigger pack of mobs stand against a wall to avoid getting knocked back.

Now that you’re picking up green items here and there it’s important to decide which items you want to be selling as transmog on the AH and what items you want to vendor. I usually save everything worth more than 100g and vendor the rest. If you don’t mind posting a lot of auctions you can of course lower the minimum amount you will save an item for, I’m just lazy :P

When you’re picking up an item and hover over it you will see that this tooltip comes up

Here you want to be looking at the Global market median because it’s the most accurate price for the item. After running the raid a few times I would recommend sending the gear you want to sell to an alt. If you’re posting all the transmog gear on your main it will be a pain managing all the bag space and it will save you a lot of time.

we posted a sick thread explaining how to post your transmog gear, check it out here.
However it’s a little bit outdated because The Undermine Journal recently shut down so in this guide we will be using Wowuction instead.

The only difference is that you change some of the settings for your Operation in TSM.

Create a TSM group and add all your transmog gear you want to sell.
Make an operation with the following settings and add it to the group:

Minimum Price: “30% wowuctionRegionMedian”
Maximum Price: “150% wowuctionRegionMedian”
Normal Price: “95% wowuctionRegionMedian”
When Below Minimum: “Don’t Post Items”
When Above Maximum: “Post at Maximum Price”

If you need more information about posting the auctions I suggest reading Stevesgamebox’s thread (even if you don’t need any info I highly recommend checking it out).

That’s it! Thanks for taking your time reading this post and it’s time to make some bank ;)

Valley of the Four Winds Windwool cloth + Gold & Chests - Afterlife

Requirements: Being able to Keep up a constant speed buff from your class whether that be from Burst of speed on a rouge, Burning rush as a warlock, or a Mage using the speed exploit.
There is no quest requirements.
This spot is by Half Hill, down in the grainery.

We are unaware at this time how much gold per/hour this spot is but it is worth a try.
This spot is in no way the best spot to farm cloth. But is a decent spot if all other locations are filled or have been nerfed.
This spot could be considered an exploit but we are not really sure if it would be considered bannable currently.

Twitch - Founder of exploit/Spot.

Afterlife recently found this spot out of nowhere in Valley by accident! This spot allows you to break the spawns for profit. When killing the mobs they give you a damage+speed buff combined with burning rush you can run insanely fast!

Location - Valley of the Four Winds, Near Half Hill Market.

Classes that could farm this. Mage/Boomy/Hunter/Lock/Rouge

Sunwell Plateau - Instant respawn farming

It is very similar to the Blackwing Lair exploit (Blackwing Lair - Insane cloth/gold farm.), but this one can be done by any class with the ability to drop combat (or even for every class if you have a specific item that makes you drop combat).

Where is it?
At the very entrance of Sunwell Plateau

What are we going to kill?

All the mobs from the packs except Sunblade Slayer OR Sunblade Dawn Priest (the ones with the red circle around in the picture below). You only need to keep ONE of them alive and then drop combat. If you do it right the mob you left alive will run back to his spawn location and all the other mobs will respawn instantly.

They are just a few mobs, why should I farm here?
Because they not only drop a lot of epics and lots of gems (5g each) but also because they drop lots of expensive boe patterns (for example: Plans: Dirge, which sells for around 10k and even more on some realms).

TL;DR
  • Kill all the adds from a certain pack but keep at least 1 Sunblade Slayer or Sunblade Dawn Priest alive
  • Drop combat
  • Repeat.

Tips:
  • Be very careful with the Sunblade Slayer, since they got a god damn damaging skill that kills you in 8 seconds (25% total life every 2 seconds) so kill those first.
  • More packs = more loot, try to get as many packs of mobs as you can but let at least one mob alive before dropping combat.
  • Use marks on them for making it easier to know what to kill and what not to kill. Use cc's on those marked adds.
  • If by some reason you fail and kill everyone just leave the instance and reset. After all, you are next to the entrance
  • For rogues it's super simple: Sap one add and Blind another one, kill everything (except the ones stated above), Stealth (or Vanish if you got in combat) and repeat.

Blackwing Lair - Insane cloth/gold farm.

Basically in Blackwing Lair just after the suppression room boss (Broodlord Lashlayer) you can farm the trash an unlimited amount of times without ever leaving the instance.

Requires:
A class that can drop combat (Feign death, Invisibility, Salyin Battle Banner item or whatever else you can drop combat with.)
The ability to do AOE magic damage (This isn't required, just makes it 50x easier)

How to do it:
Pull as much of the packs in the room as you can (can pull both floors if you want). LoS until everything is stacked up and AOE with magic damage (Hunters can use explosive trap). You want to kill everything but the Spellbinders, spellbinders are immune to magic damage which is why they won't die. Once everything is dead you can drop combat, the spellbinders will run back to where you got them and all the trash that you killed will respawn instantly.
Again, it is very important. DO NOT kill the spell binders or this won't work.

After 20 minutes of doing this (Roughly 10 pulls of the entire section) I got 1400 Runecloth, around 25g+ Just from looting the silver, 1 boe epic weapon, a bunch of green transmog gear which sells for 50g-300g+ each and 1 extremely rare black smithing recipe that sells for over 5k (Plans: Titanic Leggings)

This is after 2 pulls, as you can see there is A LOT of dead mobs and everything is still alive in the background.

And these are the 2 rooms that you are pulling the trash from

Note: If you aren't very geared sneak ahead and kill Firemaw the dragon boss before you pull this, so you don't pull him while you are gathering trash.

Enjoy!

Daily Routine To Avoid Gold Issues | Helps Start Making Gold Or Expand Your Markets

Below is a tiny fraction of my daily routine, a routine I have been running for a long time which has helped me become gold capped as many times as I have been. Some of the stuff you may know / do, some of it you may over look with no idea how much it can actually net you. So next time your standing in the city doing nothing but staring at all the people around you figuring out what you wanna do next give this a try. After you get it down you will come up with your own route to knock this out every day to expand your auction house markets as well as increase your gold income.

Battered Hilt / Frostweave & Infinite Dust Farm via Pit of Saron @ Icecrown (Northrend)

Frostweave / Raw Gold Farm via Naxx Worm Farm - Plague Corner Prior To Dance Boss

Raw Gold Farm via Halls of Lightning @ Storm Peaks (Northrend)

Transmog Farm via Silithus / Winterspring

Raw Gold / BoE Recipe Farm Sunwell Plateau Trash

Magisters' Terrace (Heroic)

The Bastion of Twilight Trash

Deviate Fish

Embersilk Cloth via Verlokk Stand
(Despite popular belief there is a route you can take to have non stop killing still - Requires Treasure Finding Potion + Tailoring Bonus (Optional) To Maximize)

Embersilk Cloth via Ettins In Twillight Highlands
(There is multiple threads posted on this - Requires Treasure Finding Potion + Tailoring Bonus (Optional) To Maximize)

Primal Fires via Motes of Fire via Incandescen Fel Spark @ Throne of Kil'jaedan (Hellfire - Outland)

Black Tabby Cat via South Shore @ Hillsbrad Foothills

Cloth & Xmog via Zul'Farrak @ Tanaris

Ancient Guo-Lai Cache Key via any Shao-Tien mob in Vale. The chest these open can give you stacks of trade goods, 25+ gold per chest & additional sales. Not to mention it will give you a crack @ skyshards while farming them & you can sell the mount 10-35k depending on your realm & demand.

Solo ANY older raids / content you can. Majority of people have no idea what drops in old raids thats worth a lot of gold, you'd be suprised. A lot of gold comes from these, a lot of world drops can be found in old content as well.

How to Farm Lots of embersilk Cloth // 5-12k+/hour

In order to get to this spot some might have to do some quests. This spot works for both Horde & Ally.

Step 1) Fly to Twilight Highlands, and go to this quest starting area.
Quest:A Coward's Due - WoWWiki

->IF you have " Mathias Command " ( Quest:Mathias' Command - WoWWiki )
Then fly to the Quest turn in, and turn it in.

WoWikki - If you scroll down, you will see the Quests in that chain, Click the First Or Last quest in the chain, and scroll to the Top and on the RIGHT side you will see a Blue Box, which says the Details

Click --- NEXT, or PREVIOUS to get to the NEXT quest chain or the Previous Quest Chain.
1) Starting from " A Cowards Due " ( If you have NEVER done quests in Twilight Highalnds)

Quest:Warm Welcome (Horde) ( HORDE )

( these quests Lead up to Mathias Command / Patchwork Command )

Step 2) Quest Chains ( from Mathias Command - Alliance ) / ( Patchwork Command - Horde )

a ) Quest:Mathias' Command

Horde- Quest:Patchwork Command

b) Quest:And the Sky Streaked Red

C) Quest:Victors' Point
( HORD) Quest:Crushblow

--- DONT COMPLETE THE CHAIN ---

d) Quest:Four Heads are Better than None (Alliance)

-- This is the quest you want to get to.

Step 3) Once you geet to " Four Heads are Better then None " STOP! - DO NOT TURN IT IN.

Complete this quest - Kill the 4 mobs, and get their heads in your Inventory / bank,

You will now notice, all the mobs have STACKED on top of eachother outside the cave.

This is the spot!

When you Complete " Four Heads are Better then None " ( Dont turn it in! )(Turning in really doesnt effect the farm the mobs are still stacked) You will need :

Potion of Treasure Finding

Tailoring / enchanting ( Enchanting / tailoring can be on other chars, i believe theres no Cloth % Increase in Cata )

Step 4) When you Finally get to the spot, all you need to do is fly in a BIG clockwise Circle. First 2 packs , kil them, at the TOP of the hill u see 2 more to theLEFT, Dont kill them , skip and keep flying, on the far LEFT theres 1 pack you cant see from the start - Kill this pack, then kill the 2 packs you Skipped, and continue your Clockwise Circle.

LOOTING:

I personally only kill the packs of mobs if they have 3+ more adds. But you can kill them anyway you would like, and I loot them after every pack kill so they do not disappear.
